Apopka Real Estate
Apopka is a city in Orange County, Florida. As of the 2006 census, the population of the city was 53,563. The city proper has a total area of 24.9 square miles. “Apopka” is Indian for “Potato eating place” and is commonly referred to the as the “Indoor Foliage Capital of the World.”
Apopka was founded as a result of the Armed Occupation Act of 1842. Settlers built a major trading center on the foundation of a previous Indian settlement. By 1857, the population grew enough to establish the Masonic Lodge. Later, 1-square mile around the “Lodge” was incorporated as “Apopka”.
Apopka has an array of homes for sale and is growing in every direction. There’s a home for every families budget.
